Good Afternoon Imagine Lakewood Ranch Families,

As shared this morning we wanted to keep you informed that – All School District of Manatee County Schools will be closed starting tomorrow, Tuesday, September 27th, as we open up shelters for Hurricane Ian.  Imagine School at Lakewood Ranch follows the district protocols, so please know that we will also be closed. The duration of school closings is not known at this time, and will be dependent on the movement and impact of the storm.

Good Morning Imagine Lakewood Ranch Families,

We hope you are all doing well this Friday morning.  As many of you know, the first quarter is almost over.  It has really flown by. We are super excited with the many activities that all of the kids are currently doing. To our Volleyball girls, who have won their last two games, and all of our scholars for their hard work during their first quarter grades, keep up the good work/

Please find below some quick updates and helpful information for our families and scholars:

Group Pictures and Picture Retakes will be Monday, September 26th.  Please have the students IN UNIFORM, NO Spirit Shirts.

October 3rd-6th-Scholastic Book Fair will be here at school all week. The Scholastic Book Fair Night, Open House, Art/STEM Show will take place on Wednesday, October 5th from 5:00-7:00. During this evening, we will have our first 3rd grade Parent Informational Meeting in the lunchroom at 6:00 pm. Parent Conferences will also be held during this week.

Assessments-STAR Results were sent two weeks ago and next week we will be sending F.A.S.T Assessment results for grades 3rd-8th. Please know that these are progress monitoring tools.  In these assessment, questions might have come up that students have still not learned.  The goal with this data is to see the growth from one period to another until the end of the school year. Good Morning Imagine Lakewood Ranch Families,

Happy Friday to all of our Imagine LWR Families.  We are very excited that we are almost a month into the school year.  There are lots and lots of things taking place, but all for the good and growth of our scholars. We are here to rock this school year.

Please find below some updates and reminders for all of our families:

Newsletters-Our last newsletter included the month of August and September information. Do not forget to look through it.  There is important news and a link to learn more about the new State Assessment Progress Monitoring tool. August and September.pdf 

Fun Clubs- Fun Club invitations are being sent home, so keep an eye in your child’s bag packs. FUN Clubs start next Wednesday, Sept. 7th.  Mrs. Q K-2 Intramural begins Monday, September 12th and 3rd-5th, begin Sept. 7th.

Academic Boot Camps-Academic Boot Camp invitations are also being sent home.  Please have these back to your child’s homeroom teacher by Friday, September 9th. They will begin on Tuesday, September 13th.

STAR Data-Our first progress monitoring tool has been completed.  Your child’s results are being sent home next week for you to view. This data will allow for us to use the appropriate strategies and tools to support your child’s learning.

F.A.S.T Testing for 3rd-8th will take place Wednesday, September 7th for Reading and Tuesday, September 13th for Math.  If your child is absent, do not worry we will be able to test them on a different day. Testing letters-FAST Letter PM 1.pdf

Otis Spunkmeyer is currently taking place.  Order forms/money orders are due September 9th.

Congratulations to all of the girls that made the volleyball team! We are very proud of you.

F.A.S.T-Florida’s Assessment of Student Thinking:  Please find attached the letters for the new testing platform for our K-2nd graders which starts August 22nd.  F.A.S.T Testing letters.pdf The testing for K-2nd is our STAR Renaissance. 3rd-8th will also be doing STAR Reading and Math. 3rd-8th grade has a new progress monitoring assessments which begins September 6th.  The newsletter contains the link for you to learn more about the F.A.S.T.

New Health Forms: Please find attached new health forms that require your signature.  Paper copies will be sent home. Health Forms.pdf Nurse Tiffany needs these signed for her to be able to help and treat your children with any injuries or health matters.
